How to Add Course Categories
Courses are classes offered at the institution. Each course should belong to one or more Programs. Each course includes the number of credit hours, contact hours, attendance thresholds, grading scales, course mappings, syllabi, booklist, and course day/times. The course listing acts as a Master course that all subsequent course sections are based off of.
You will first need to add Course Categories before you can begin adding Courses.
To add course categories:
- Go to the Academics Tab > Courses > click on Categories
3. Select the school you would like to add the category to.
4. Enter a Category Code. Refer to examples above. They are usually 3 or four letters and represent a group of course types.
5. Enter the Category Name: type the full name of the category.
6. Click Save.
Once you have entered all of the Course Categories, you can begin adding the Courses.
