Program directors can change gradebook settings based on the director's preference or accreditor recommendations.
VIAS has setting options within the section page for each section's gradebook. The user can choose to have the final score rounded by whole number, 1 decimal place, or 2 decimal places.
The default gradebook setting for final grades is whole number.
This grade setting will average the final grade based on the program director's choice.

1. Go to the section's gradebook by academics > sections.
2. Search for your section.
3. Use the drop down arrow to select the setting for the gradebook from SCORE ROUNDING in the Gradebook System Settings.

Score rounding includes:
- whole number
- 1 decimal place
- 2 decimal place
4. You can also set settings for how the gradebook appears within the grading system.

Assignment sort settings include:
- due date descending order
- due date ascending order
- name ascending order
- criteria
5. Click on Save.

To update gradebook scores immediately to the setting set in the gradebook settings, please re-set the gradebook using the following steps:
- Choose one student. Remove the student's grade.
- Save the gradebook with no grade entered for the student.
- Re-enter the original grade back for the student.
- Save the gradebook once more.
