Often, students are interested in transferring to a different program or bridging to a higher degree program upon completion of one program. Exploratory Program Plans are also created when a student is interested in re-enrolling to the school after a Withdraw Program Action. It’s helpful to give these students a potential program plan, so they know what courses they have left to take. It also enables Financial Aid to create an Estimated Award Letter for the student.
A complete history of Program Plans is stored on the top of the Program Plan Page. The student’s Active Program Plan is marked by a Star.
- To Create an Exploratory Program Plan, go to the Student Page and click on Manage Program Activity.
- Click Add New Plan under the Program Plans section.
3. Select the following in the box:
a. Program: Select the program the student is interesting in transferring to, bridging to, or re- enrolling to
b. Start: Select the anticipated Start Date for the new program.
c. Curriculum Effective Date: Select the most recent term
e. Add a Description: It’s best to add a title that includes the Program, Start Date, and Type of Enrollment
4. Click Save Plan.
6. Drag and drop courses as needed.
7. Click Save Changes.
You can print the Exploratory Program Plan for the student. The Plan is also viewable by Financial Aid so they can create an Estimated Award Letter. If the student chooses to enroll in the program or is accepted into the program, you can easily select the Program Plan you built when you admitted the Student to the new program.
