How to Message Students in Your Gradebook
Quickly message students in a given class by going to the Gradebook.
You can quickly message the students in a given class by going to the Gradebook. You can choose to message all of the students in the class or just check the box next to the students that you need to message. Usually, instructors will need to text or email all of their students in a class.
- Go to the Academics Tab > Grading System > click on Gradebook

- This page is searchable by term, instructor, and section.
- Click Search.

- Click on the blue Gradebook next to the course you’d like to message.

- Check the boxes next to each student you need to message.
- A blue box that says “Message Students” will appear in the lower right-hand side of your screen.

- Click on the Message Students box and select either “Send Text” or “Send Email.”
- You can choose a Template from the drop-down menu or simply type your message in the box provided.
- 9. Click the blue Send button. A record of the activity will be stored automatically on each student’s page.
