How to Issue Unofficial and Official Transcripts

Transcripts are a current record of all completed coursework for a student. They are generated in real-time based on the student’s finalized grades in VIAS. The only distinction between an official and unofficial transcript in the system is that the official states “Official Transcript” at the top of it and the unofficial does not. Transcripts can be accessed for all students, regardless of their current standing at the institution. Also, all students are able to access their unofficial transcript at any time by logging into their student portal and clicking on the Classes tab. 

To access a student’s unofficial transcripts: 

1. Go to the Students Tab > Documents > click on Transcripts. 

2.   Select the School and type the first few letters of the student’s first and last name. 

3.   Click Search. 

4.   To view the unofficial transcript click on View Transcript. 

5.   To view the official transcript click on View Official Transcript.
