How to Manage Transcript Requests

You can easily manage transcripts that have been requested and received for students by going to the Transcript Request Page in VIAS. For a student’s institution to show on this Transcript Request page, you must check the box “Transcript Required” when adding Education History to the Student Page.

  1. Go to the Academics Tab > click on Transcript Requests 

2.   Select the Start Date you’d like to view the Transcript Requests for. You can also filter this list by checking or unchecking the following boxes: 
    1. Students + Leads 
    2. Students 
    3. Employees 
    4. Show Cancel/Denied 
    5. Active Only 
3.   Click Search. This will give you a list of students/leads and the status of their transcript requests for their previous education history. You can edit the Requested and Received Dates for their Education History on this page or on the Student Page. The Transcript Request page is the only place that a HOLD action can be entered for the institution. You may need to enter a HOLD status as the Received date if the institution is unable to process the transcript request due to a hold on the student’s account.
