School-Wide Announcements/Alerts
You can send school-wide emails and text messages to notify students/employees of inclement weather, emergencies, changes to policies, etc. These emails and texts are stored individually on each Student Page.
- Go to the Admin Tab > click on Holidays/Cancellations
2. In the “Send Email/Text Alert,” check the box for Email or Text
3. Next, select if the message will be sent to Students or Employees
4. Enter the Active Date, which is usually the current day. This date refers to all of the employees and students that are active at the school on the day selected.
5. You have the option to send the message to a specific program or you can leave this field blank to send it to the entire student population.
6. Enter the Subject and Message.
7. Click Send Message.
VIAS stores a record of recently sent messages to students and employees on this page as well.
