Students may need to take a leave of absence for various reasons in their school career. Once a student returns back from LOA, enter the Returning from LOA Program Action.
How to Enter LOA Program Action
1. Click on Manage Program Activity

2. Click on Add Program Action

3. Select the PROGRAM

4. Select LOA from ACTION

5. Select the TERM the student will begin his/her Leave of Absence.

6. Type the effective date of the LOA.

7. Type the start and end date of the LOA.

8. Type needed comments for other departments in comments.

9. Click on Save Action

Adding the Return From LOA Program Action
The process is the same except the user will choose the Return from LOA program action.
1. Select program.
2. Select Returning from LOA program Action.
3. Select the term the student is returning to.
4. Enter Effective date the student returned to the program.
5. Click Save Action.
Key Features of the “Returning from LOA” Action:

Reactivates Students: This action reinstates students into their program upon their return from LOA.

Program Costs: Tuition and program costs will now be calculated based on the effective date of last Admit program action.

Process Tuition: Tuition processing will align with the effective date of the last Admit program action.

Reporting Updates: Some reports may not reflect the "Returning from LOA" action accurately at this time. Our team is actively working to resolve this issue.

Reporting Recommendations: To track LOA returns effectively:

Use the Program Action Report in conjunction with the Active Report for a complete view of your school population.

For Last Date of Attendance (LDA) information, export the Program Action Report to Excel to view Return from LOA students LDA.

Important tools for using the Program Action Report for Returning From LOA:
Step 1: Run Program Action Report based on the length of your school's programs for two years
Step 2: Check the box "Last Action Only".
If the student is signing a new Enrollment Agreement upon returning from LOA then use the Admit program Action.
Key Features of Using the “Admit” Action After LOA:
- Program Re-Entry: The student will be reactivated into their assigned program.
- Program Costs: Tuition and program costs will be calculated based on the new Admit effective date. This is critical if program costs have increased since the original enrollment.
- New Enrollment Agreement: The Admit action should be used if the student signed a new enrollment agreement upon returning from LOA.
